Free as in Freedom.....!!

...its 15th Aug again. Another year passes by. We all are busy looking at the statistics of the country. where is that we have lost. where is that we can improve. Dear country of mine, where are the politicians taking you.

For the first time in the Indian history the speech of the President was on the internet(live). I did watch. thanks to deepak who informed me about that. I only hope the things planned by the President will come true by 2030.

Being in Malaysia, i dont get a holiday for the independence of other nations. I need to get back to work. Here is some things that i was reading on the indiatimes website. It mentions about 58 things that we need freedom from. i am listing some selected ones here


1. Double standards about saas-bahu serials
2. Equating sexual liberation with promiscuity
3. Doctors who prescribe tests and check-ups just to make money
4. Using loudspeakers at rallies and protests
5. Bollywood ‘formula’ films
6. Item girls
7. Mindless dribble that 24-hour news channels broadcast as fillers
8. 4 am power cuts
9. Politicians with police records
10. Continually building places of worship instead of using that money for other causes like providing food and shelter for the homeless
11. Giving out pseudo-religious symbols to propagate violence
12. Blindly supporting capitalism....and not to forget
13. Potholes
14. Dime-a-dozen astrologers, palmists, tarot card readers
